HTC Desire S comes with a nice unibody design and a 3.7″ S-LCD display. It feels solid and pretty comfortable to hold. The screen is relatively smaller in size, but it shouldn’t be a problem for most people. It looks bright and clear with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels (252 ppi pixel density). You can still enjoy good visuals. The responsive capacitive touchscreen and touch-sensitive controls will make navigation easier. Corning Gorilla Glass will protect the screen from scratches. The Desire S also includes other features like Multitouch, HTC Sense UI 3.0, Accelerometer and Proximity sensor.
HTC Desire S uses Android v2.3 (Gingerbread) operating system, but it can be upgraded to v4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). A 1 GHz Snapdragon processor is planted inside the phone along with, Adreno 205 GPU and 768 MB of RAM. Its perfomance is quite satisfactory. The Desire S works responsively and executes most tasks smoothly. It is also equipped with 1.1 GB of ROM and memory card slot. You can add microSD card up to 32 GB to expand the storage capacity. For photography, HTC Desire S offers a 5 MP rear camera which features autofocus, LED flash, Geo-tagging, touch focus and video recording capability (720p@30fps).
