Samsung Galaxy A9 is another flagship from Samsung which is armed with Octa-core Qualcomm SDM660 Snapdragon 660 processor (4×2.2 GHz Kryo 260 & 4×1.8 GHz Kryo 260) and Adreno 512 GPU. It is available in two variants: 6 GB of RAM/64 GB of internal storage and 8 GB of RAM/128 GB of internal storage. You just need to choose which one that suits your needs. If you are just a casual smartphone user then the one with lower specifications should be more than enough. Samsung Galaxy A9 itself runs on Android 8.0 (Oreo) operating system and there could be a plan for an upgrade to Android 9.0 (Pie). The phone is quite reliable to do various tasks even the heavy ones. Playing high-graphics games can’t be more fun. You can also edit videos on your phone without any major problem. The internal storage should be more than enough to accommodate your files, however it also enables storage expansion via external memory card (support up to 512 GB with dedicated slot). The phone is also equipped with two SIM card slots and powered by non-removable Li-Ion 3800 mAh.
In terms of design, Samsung Galaxy A9 is an attention-grabbing smartphone with large screen and slim bezel. On the front you can see a beautiful 6.3″ Super AMOLED display (80.1% screen-to-body ratio) with a resolution of 1080 x 2220 pixels (393 ppi density). Pictures look crisp and the details are quite good. High quality videos or high-graphics games are truly enjoyable to watch. Its pretty comfortable to hold despite the large size and the onscreen keyboard is easy to use even for large fingers. For extra safety, it is also equipped with fingerprint sensor (rear-mounted) that feels pretty responsive.
Samsung Galaxy A9 is the first quad-camera smartphone from Samsung. You might not expect it will come in the A-series model, but still it is a good news for “camera guys” out there. Four cameras are embedded on the back of the phone including 24 MP camera with f/1.7 aperture, 27mm (wide), 1/2.8″, 0.9µm, PDAF; 8 MP camera with f/2.4 aperture 12mm (ultrawide), 1/4.0″, 1.12µm; 10 MP camera with f/2.4 aperture, 52mm, (telephoto), 1/3.9″, 1.0µm, 2x optical zoom; and 5 MP camera with f/2.2 aperture, 24mm (wide), 1/5.0″, 1.12µm, depth sensor.
