Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini comes with a dual-core 1.7 GHz Krait processor inside. It may not be as zippy as its brother (the S4), but it can handle various tasks pretty well. Android v4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) operating system runs flawlessly and apps can load quickly. The processor doesn’t work on its own. It is backed by Adreno 305 GPU, and 1.5 GB of RAM. As a mini version, this phone only offers 8 GB of internal storage. Fortunately, the capacity can be expanded by adding external memory card (up to 64 GB). Various connectivity options are available, including Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n (dual-band), Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi hotspot; DLNA; Bluetooth v4.0 with A2DP, LE, EDR; microUSB v2.0; Infrared port; and NFC.
The S4 Mini boasts a 4.3” Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels (256 ppi pixel density). As you can see here, mini doesn’t always mean tiny at all. The display is large enough to view photos or videos comfortably. It has good brightness and viewing angles. The onscreen keyboard is spacious and responsive. Don’t worry about the scratches since the screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. Of course you can also find standard features like Multitouch support, Accelerometer, Gyroscope, and Proximity sensor.
An 8 MP camera is attached on the rear side of the phone. The camera is equipped with autofocus, LED flash, Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR, panorama, and video recording capability up to 1080p@30fps. There is also a 1.9 MP camera for video calling.
