Acer Iconia Tab A511 works responsively with the support of a quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A9 processor. The Android OS v4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) is installed in this tablet. You can do various tasks without any serious problems. Apps can be launched properly and you can switch between menus smoothly. The processor itself is backed by ULP GeForce GPU and 1 GB RAM. You’ll have a lot of space to store your multimedia files and documents since the tablet provides 16/32 GB internal storage (optional). You can even add external memory card up to 32 GB. Some connectivity features like Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi hotspot; Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP, EDR; and microUSB v2.0 are included.
The A511 comes with a spacious 10.1” TFT capacitive touchscreen. The large screen enables you to view photos or watch videos more comfortably. 1280 x 800 pixels resolution is not too impressive for its size, but the display looks bright and colorful enough. Although the tablet feels a bit bulky and heavy, it’s pretty comfortable to hold and carry due to the rubberized back panel. The touchscreen is responsive and fun to use. It is equipped with Multitouch support, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Proximity sensor. The A511 has a modest 5 MP camera on its back. The camera features autofocus, Geo-tagging, and video recording capability. It also offers a secondary 2 MP front-facing camera.
