Coming with 4-inch TFT display and dual-core 1.0 GHz processor, Samsung Galaxy Ace 4 is claimed to be one of the best mid-range phones with good value for money. The screen has a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels and a pixel density of 233 pixels per inch. It is pretty good screen although it misses the Super AMOLED technology. You can watch videos and read text comfortably on the screen. The onscreen keyboard is spacious and has good accuracy, so it will ease your job when typing. The multitouch touchscreen is so responsive that it makes navigation easier. The Galaxy Ace 4 also has an ergonomic design -with that curved corners- that enables good grip and easy handling. It fits well in your hand and can slip easily into your pocket.
You can’t expect much from a phone with a dual-core 1.0 GHz processor and 512 MB of RAM inside, but Samsung Galaxy Ace 4’s performance is reasonably good. It has no problem in running Android OS v4.4.2 (KitKat) and launching various apps. You can finish simple task without any serious trouble. It may suffer from delay due to the hard work, but that shouldn’t be serious. If you want a better performance, the Galaxy Ace 4 is also available in 4G LTE version. Preparing a microSD card is a must if you like to keep a lot of photos and videos in your phone. It is because the phone only provides 4 GB of internal storage.
Samsung Galaxy Ace 4 is equipped with 5 MP camera. You can find it on the back panel. It’s not a special camera, but it’s not bad to take photos for your facebook or instagram. The camera is supported by autofocus, LED flash, geo-tagging, face and smile detection, and panorama. You can use it to record video up to 720p@30fps. The front-facing VGA camera seems to be a good extra since you can use it for video calling.
