BlackBerry Leap uses BlackBerry 10.3.1 operating system. It’s an attractive Blackberry powered by Qualcomm 8960 Dual Core 1.5GHz processor. The processor is paired with Adreno 225 GPU and 2 GB of RAM to support its performance. These specifications seem pretty satisfying for simple use. Apps can load in no time and you can feel the smooth transition. The 4G LTE connectivity is definitely a plus point. It enables faster data speed so that you can do online activities more comfortably.
The manufacturer claims that its 2,800mAh battery (non-removable) can provide up to 25 hours of battery life. To accommodate your files, the phone has 16 GB built-in memory and includes memory card slot for storage expansion. It supports microSD card up to 128 GB. In short, Blackberry Leap has the capacity to be a good productivity booster.
Unlike the classic series, BlackBerry Leap comes with full touchscreen design. It boasts a responsive 5.0″ capacitive touchscreen that already supports multitouch. It has 65.7% screen-to-body ratio. The body itself looks a bit stiff due to the angled corners. Thankfully, the textured pattern on the back makes it more comfortable to hold. The screen has a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels and 294 ppi pixel density. Visibility is good and you can enjoy watching crisp images and vivid colors.
Above the display, there is a secondary 2 MP camera that can be used for video calling and capturing self-portraits. For the main camera, it has an 8 MP camera on the rear panel. It has rich features including f/2.2, 31mm, autofocus, LED flash, Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR, panorama mode and HD video recording capability (1080p@30fps).
